FNAC is an abbreviation for Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology. FNAC is a diagnostic
procedure in which a needle is inserted on the raised part of the body to extract a small
amount of tissue to perform analysis under a microscope. Lumps on the neck, breast, or any
other part of the body that appear without a reason and do not recede even after a long time,
can be malignant. If you notice any bump on your body and could not fathom the reason for
the same, the doctor may prescribe you a FNAC test.
